Overview

We are looking for Industrial Maintenance Technicians who can perform maintenance, repair, and multi-craft functions for a variety of processes, equipment, and structures throughout the plant and grounds.

 

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $25.48-$30.08 per hour

Responsibilities

Industrial Maintenance Technician Specific Duties

 

  • Performs minor and/or routine repairs to a variety of equipment and machinery, including drills and air cylinders, machinery, and instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc robots, robot pendant operation, Allen-Bradley controllers and logic, and associated logic preferred.
  • Performs major and/or emergency repairs to equipment and machinery as required. Installs and disassembles machinery, equipment, and structures.
  • Completes job orders and performs miscellaneous maintenance functions to service production lines. Performs a variety of preventive maintenance tasks to ensure efficient, reliable operation of production processes and equipment.
  • Uses mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic drawings to: troubleshoot causes of equipment and system malfunctions or breakdowns; repair and/or modify existing parts and equipment; fabricate new parts and equipment; and construct/install facilities and equipment.
  • Operates fork lift, man lift, and floor-controlled overhead crane.
  • Maintains and compiles a variety of required log books, records, and reports. Informs supervision of equipment or machinery requiring repair, and of observed current or potential problem areas. Communicates necessary information and responds to requests for repair or assistance from production supervisors, line personnel, and other maintenance personnel.
  • Provides training and/or assistance to other maintenance personnel. Performs miscellaneous maintenance, repair, and housekeeping duties as assigned.
  • Plans and performs technical maintenance functions, both electrical and mechanical, on special projects and equipment installations and upgrading as assigned.
  • Utilizes special test equipment such as oscilloscopes, vibration analysis instruments, and personal computers in the problem evaluating process. Analyzes data and develops solutions and methods for problem solving.
  • Follows all safety regulations including, but not limited to, wearing all designated PPE and adhering to LOTO procedures. Proper use and disposal of cleaning agents.
  • Performs job duties in a way to prevent harm to public health and the environment; conserve energy, water, and raw materials; and integrate pollution prevention.

 

Industrial Maintenance Technicians Working Conditions

  • Works under normal factory conditions of heat and noise
  • May be exposed to extremes of heat and noise, moving machinery, and heights.
  • Required at times to work outside in inclement weather.
  • Required to work overtime.
  • Performs many duties without close supervision.
  • Must provide own hand tools and tool storage.

 

Qualifications

Industrial Maintenance Technician Training/Miscellaneous Requirements

 

  • Training and certification requirements as specified in the Maintenance Apprentice Training Program.
  • Must participate in additional training as required by changes in equipment and process technology.
  • Operates a variety of equipment, including hand-operated tools, hand-held and stationary power tools, soldering, welding and cutting instruments, cranes, hoists, and fork trucks.
  • Requires thorough knowledge of plant equipment, processes, and facilities, as well as safety rules and procedures.

 

Education:

 

High school or equivalent (Preferred)
 

Experience:

 

Programmable logic controllers: 1 year (Preferred)
Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)
