The Valued Added Process Engineer provides complete technical assistance to Offline of Value Added Processes such as: Glass Processing, cutting, polishing, drilling, washing & Tempering, for the Prouction of solar cells backing glass. All these processes located at the Meadville, PA Glass Plant.

Responsibilities

·       Responsible on Data collection and database creation for Benchmarking and analysis

·       Responsible on Data analysis and correlation studios for specific requirements

·       Review existing and new construction design and implement into CAD drawings

·       Maintaining the DATABASE of CAD, electronic, microfilm, and paper drawings of Vitro facilities

·       Review and implementation of process improvements at coated glass processing

·       Perform and review budget and schedule of the area, assisting the Operational team to achieve their yearly targets.

·       Participate on multidisciplinary teams for glass furnace process requirements

·       Assistance on training

·       Participation and assistance on focus groups and interacting with different areas, such as, sales, marketing, R&D, operations, manufacturing, to address float glass furnace requirement

·       Assist and team up with Engineering on new equipment development  

Qualifications

·       This position requires a BS/Engineering degree or at five years equivalent chemical process engineering experience. Proven human relations skills and strong business know-how along with the ability to communicate effectively in all media and at all contact levels is essential. Basic knowledge of construction accounting and knowledge of business and construction legalities is desirable

 

·       Travel Time:                        up to 30%

·       Plant operational support:    up to 80%
