This role will lead the implementation, continuous improvement, and sustainability of reliability systems and processes within the manufacturing site. The reliability engineer is to identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations. This position selects engineering techniques to solve problems and makes recommendations including the coordination of projects for process improvements. This position requires a college degree in Reliability, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with five+ or more years’ experience.
The incumbent must have and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of engineering principles and sound technical judgment. Knowledge of human relations and the ability to work with all levels of employees. The incumbent must have a Bachelor’s degree in Reliability, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or similar field or the equivalent experience in a manufacturing setting, along with a minimum of five years of maintenance manufacturing and technical experience, preferably in the automotive sector, using best practices in maintenance activities and work processes. A minimum of three of these years must be in a leadership role preferably within aa maintenance department. The incumbent must have basic computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook and preventative maintenance software systems. Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
