The Plant Operational Excellence Leader will develop and drive the organizational culture through projects ultimately to generate value and improve the performance of processes in the business through the application of Operational Excellence principles, Six sigma DMAIC, DFSS, Lean Manufacturing and other techniques to support the attention of process opportunities for the Meadville, PA Vitro Glass facility.
The Plant Operational Excellence Leader is responsible for identifying, coordinating, tracking and executing work associated with the Vitro Excellence Model. Contact is required with other associates to effectively coordinate the work. He/She may work with Plant Leadership, Engineers and Production employees in the preparation of Green Belt Projects, 5S events, daily management design and other activities needed to accomplish the Vitro Excellence objectives. It is the Plant Operational Excellence Leader to drive improvements to meet the goals of the Vitro Excellence program.
The Engineer will normally be expected to manage and coordinate the Vitro Excellence Model for the Meadville facility, often directing other personnel in the process. It is desirable for him/her to have a knowledge of glass or industrial manufacturing technology. He/She should possess an advanced knowledge of the principles of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
Train in tools for analysis and problem solving, statistics, Lean and 6 sigma.
